SEER
Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio measures the efficiency of air conditioners. The rating is determined by the cooling output in British thermal units (Btu) divided by the total energy input. The higher the rating, the more efficient your system is.
Our Carrier® products all meet or exceed Canadian regulatory standards.
AFUE
Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency measures the efficiency of gas-fired furnaces and boilers. This rating provides the average seasonal input energy versus output energy, thus revealing how much natural gas is wasted. The higher the rating, the greater the efficiency is.
HSPF
Heating Seasonal Performance Factor measures the efficiency of air-source heat pumps. The number is a ratio of the Btu output to the electricity input. Again, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit is.
